The Australian job market is in a great spot and looks to continue with this trend in the coming months. The improvement is coming from smaller states and territories in Australia. An online job site, SEEK, reports that Australian job ads have increased by 12.6% compared to the same time frame from a year ago.

The increase is appearing due to non-full-time job advertising and is a trend continuing since 2010. Contract, part-time, and casual jobs are seen as not as important as full-time positions, but this information suggests that businesses are increasing staffing levels due to the demands that are given by an improving economy. Now is the time to start job hunting and consider immigration to Australia. Contact Australia Immigration Professionals for more information on applying for a visa.

The available job opportunities show a positive outlook, but another positive is that ads saw an increase in all states and territories, indicating an upswing across all of Australia. Western Australia saw ads for mining positions up by 16.8% and Queensland 20.2%. This pace of growth is the strongest seen since 2011. Tasmania saw the fastest growth over all other locations, with a 22% increase over the year.

The growth there was in healthcare and medical, hospitality and tourism industries, and trades and services. South Australia and Northern Territory also saw an increase in ads, 19.8%, and 17.6% respectively. The areas with the greatest population, Victoria, and New South Wales, also shared in the growth. Kendra Banks, the chief commercial officer for SEEK said, “The pace of advertising is picking up in our country’s largest labor markets of New South Wales, 7.3%, and 14.1% in Victoria.”

The labor markets are continuing to improve no matter the industry or the location. Now is such a good time to contact Australia Immigration Professionals for assistance in relocating to Australia to live and work.
